STORY
ESPÍRITO DO LUGAR BEGAN FROM THE IDEA OF CREATING A GUEST HOUSE WITH A CONCEPT THAT HIGHLIGHTS AND PROMOTES THE ESSENCE OF EACH PLACE.
ESPÍRITO DO LUGAR - CASTELO DE VIDE, IS OUR FIRST GUEST HOUSE IN ALENTEJO.
A GUEST HOUSE IN A VILLAGE SURROUNDED BY 2,5KM OF WALLS AND CONSIDERED ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL VILLAGES OF PORTUGAL.
OUR GUEST HOUSE IS LOCATED INSIDE THE CASTLE WALLS WHERE YOU CAN ENJOY AND RELAX IN HARMONY WITH THE DISCONCERTING LANDSCAPE, THE HISTORY, THE CORNERS OF THE VILLAGE AND THE EXCELLENT ALENTEJO CUISINE.

RATES & ACCOMMODATION
All the rates are in euros. In Espírito do Lugar the rates are per house per night.
For further information regarding the number of guests we can accommodate in the house please contact us.
Rates are subject to change without notice. Accommodation is subject to availability.
BOOKING & PAYMENT
All the bookings are pre-paid. We only accept online payments.
We will send you an Invoice with the name of the reservations. If you want to include any Vat Number or if you want the invoice in a different name or company name, please inform us on the booking form.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellation fee policy:
Cancellations 15 days or more prior to arrival (until 2pm local)– 100% of total stay returned by Espirito do Lugar
Cancellation 14 days prior to arrival (until 2pm local) – 100% of total stay retained by Espirito do Lugar
Cancellations are only effective on receipt of written notification. To cancel a reservation please contact:

The refund of any cancellation could take from 5 to 25 days after the cancelation date depending on the bank.
No refunds are given for ‘no show’, vouchers, flight cancellations, delays or departure from the houses early or by any mistake on the booking process.
CHECK IN
Arrival time should be announced in advance to enable sufficient organization of the guest’s check-in and access key delivery.
Check in time is after 4pm. If guests are expecting to arrive later than 8pm, it is important to let us know the exact arrival time, especially when travelling by one’s own means as we are not a traditional hotel, we do not have 24-hour reception service.
Check out time, on the date of departure is until 12am. If the house is not vacated by this time, the customer will be subject to the cost of another night.
COMPLAINTS
Any complaint about the booking service must be notified to Espírito do Lugar by email as soon as possible. Any complaint regarding your stay must be brought to the attention of the HospitalIty Manager as early as possible during your stay and, if not resolved to your satisfaction, should be notified in writing no later than 14 days after departure.
LIABILITY DISCLAIMER
Espirito do Lugar shall not assume liability for any illness, injury or death to persons visiting the properties nor for any other incident of any nature involving any client(s) while they are on the property. Espírito do Lugar cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to private property, however it may be caused.

PRICES INCLUDE 1 BEDROOM. THE MAXIMUM CAPACITY IS 2 GUESTS (2 ADULTS). IT'S POSIBLE TO ADD A EXTRA BED FOR 1 CHILDREN UNDER 12 YEARS OLD (EXTRA CHARGE).

WE DO NOT ALLOW ANY PETS INSIDE OR OUTSIDE THE HOUSE

SMOKING, IS ONLY PERMITTED OUTSIDE THE HOUSE WITH EXCLUSIVE USE OF AN ASHTRAY. OTHERWISE, THERE IS A HIGH POSSIBILITY OF CAUSING A FIRE THAT GUESTS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR.

THE USAGE OF THE HOUSE IS LIMITED TO THE NUMBER OF GUESTS SPECIFIED IN THE BOOKING CONDITIONS, OTHER PEOPLE FROM THE OUTSIDE ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE PROPERTY .

ALTHOUGH THERE IS NO REQUIRED DAMAGE DEPOSIT, GUESTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING EVERYTHING IS IN THE EXACT SAME CONDITION AS WHEN THEY ARRIVED.

PLEASE BE AWARE GUESTS ARE SUBJECT TO EXTRA CHARGES FOR ANY NON-COMPLIANCE OF OUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS PRESENTED ABOVE.

ANY PHOTO OR VIDEO PRODUCTION FOR ADVERTISEMENT, PROPAGANDA OR COMMERCIAL PURPOSE ARE STRICTLY FORBIDDEN DURING THE STAY. PHOTOSHOOTS AND MEDIA MATTERS MUST BE DISCUSSED BEFORE BOOKING.

ALL THE ARTICLES INSIDE ESPÍRITO DO LUGAR ARE PROPERTY OF THE HOUSE. WE DO NOT ALLOW GUESTS TO TAKE THEM OUTSIDE OF THE HOUSE EVEN IF GUESTS HAVE THE INTENTION TO BRING THEM BACK AFTER.

WHAT IS PERSONAL INFORMATION
Esprito do Lugar treats with profound respect and seriousness the safeguarding of its Guests privacy about the Guest as an individual, such as name, birth country, address, age, gender, e-mail, telephone number, preferences and specific requests stated before, during or after the stay, including digital correspondence exchange. This data will be collected only with the Guest’s prior consent and processed in compliance with the European Union legislation on the General Data Protection Regulation.

When making a reservation at Espírito do Lugar, the guest will receive a form by email, to fill in some of their personal data such as: name, address, contacts, information about their children (whenever necessary, for example: name, date of birth, age) and other information necessary to guarantee the reservation. By transmitting their personal information, the guest acknowledges and agrees to the terms and conditions contained in this Privacy Policy.
During the stay:
During the stay, guest personal data is recorded to aid in future bookings, debit guest extraordinary expenses and also to comply with requirements imposed by auditors and government regulators. Some information may be collected as required by local laws (eg passport data for SEF).
